What McLaren Approval Requires
McLaren picks its bodyshops and audits them. The approval covers training, tooling and the way each repair is recorded. It is why the list of approved shops is short.
- Technicians trained on McLaren structures and McLaren methods
- The tooling and fixtures McLaren names for its own cars
- Repair procedures pulled from McLaren for that model, every time
- Genuine parts sourced through McLaren, not a copy that looks close
- Paint work matched to McLaren finishes, including the special colors
Carbon Tub and Aluminum Structure
A McLaren is built around a carbon fiber tub, with aluminum structure bolted to it. No shop should judge that damage by eye. McLaren sets the check procedure and only approved shops may do the work.
- The tub is inspected the way McLaren says, not by guess
- McLaren decides what a damaged tub needs, and we follow it
- Aluminum crash structures are replaced, not pulled back into shape
- Bonded and riveted joints are rebuilt to the model's own chart
- The car is measured on a bench and the numbers are printed for you
McLaren Models We Repair
Sports Series, Super Series, GT and the Ultimate cars all come through the shop. We take older cars too. Tell us the model and the year when you call.
- 570S, 600LT, 650S and MP4-12C
- 720S, 750S and 765LT
- GT, GTS and Artura
- Senna, Elva and P1
Coming to Us From Out of State
Approved shops are thin on the ground, so owners travel. Cars have come to us from as far as Texas. Most arrive on an enclosed trailer and we handle it from the moment it rolls off.
- Send photos first so we can size up the job before the car ships
- We help you line up enclosed transport in and back out
- The car is unloaded at the shop, not at a yard down the street
- We send photo updates while the car is here, so you can watch it
- Storage while parts are on order is part of the job, not a surprise
Insurance on a McLaren
These repairs are usually paid by a carrier. We work with your insurer on this car and speak to the adjuster in their language. We are independent and claim no network status with any carrier.
- State Farm, Progressive, Esurance, Chubb and the rest of the majors
- We write the estimate to McLaren procedures, then defend it
- Supplements are filed the day we find the extra damage
- Arizona law lets you pick the shop, and the insurer can't force one
- You sign once. We handle the calls and the paperwork after that
How the Estimate Works
Estimates are free. Photos are enough to start, and you do not need to move the car to get a number. A car this valuable still gets looked at in person before any work begins.
- Upload photos and the damage details on our estimate page
- We come back with a range and the likely parts lead time
- Bring the car in, or we arrange the tow if it is not drivable
- We pull the car apart and check the structure before we commit
- Our workmanship carries a limited lifetime warranty, for as long as you own it
FAQs
McLaren owners ask us the same questions. Here are the answers, without the sales pitch.
Do I have to use a McLaren dealer for body work?
No. Body repair goes to an approved bodyshop, and Raintree is the one in Arizona. Arizona law lets you pick the shop, and the insurer can't force a specific one.
Will you use genuine McLaren parts?
Yes. Parts for a McLaren are sourced through McLaren. We push for genuine parts on every job, and on this car there is no sensible copy part to argue about.
Can you repair a damaged carbon fiber tub?
A damaged tub follows McLaren's own check procedure. Only McLaren approved shops may do that work. We inspect it, McLaren says what it needs, and we go from there.
How do I get my car to you from out of state?
Most owners send the car on an enclosed trailer, and we help you line one up. Cars have come to us from Texas. Send photos first so we can price the job before it ships.
Will my insurer pay for an approved shop?
Usually, yes. Carriers know a McLaren has to go somewhere approved. We write the estimate to McLaren procedures and deal with the adjuster for you.
Does repairing here keep my McLaren warranty?
McLaren sets the terms of your car's warranty. Ask McLaren about your car. What we control is the repair: McLaren steps, McLaren parts, and a written record of both.
How long does a McLaren repair take?
The body and paint time is ours to control. Parts lead time is not. We order the day the estimate is approved and give you a date as soon as McLaren confirms it.
Is my car safe while it is with you?
Yes. The car stays inside the building, not on a back lot. We send photos while it is here so you can see the work as it goes.
What does a McLaren estimate cost?
Nothing. Estimates are free, and you can start with photos on our estimate page. Call (480) 951-3441 if you would rather talk it through first.
Why not just go to a shop in California or Texas?
You can, and some owners did before we held this approval. Now the closest approved bodyshop in the Southwest is here in Scottsdale. That is a shorter trailer ride and a shorter repair.
